RESOLUTION NO. RS2006-1309
A resolution approving an amendment to a grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for characterization of concentrations of air pollutants.
WHEREAS, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has awarded an amendment to a grant for characterization of concentrations of air pollutants, which amendment increases the amount of the grant by an amount not to exceed $30,000, for the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County; and,
WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant amendment be approved; and,
WHEREAS, Resolution No. RS2006-1259 was introduced by the Metropolitan Council on April 4, 2006, providing for the appropriation of funds received pursuant to this grant amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the amendment to the grant by and between the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, increasing the funds by an amount not to exceed $30,000 to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for characterization of concentrations of air pollutants, a copy of which grant amendment is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
