Whereas, Meharry Medical College, School of Dentistry, in accordance with the contract attached hereto, wishes to provide professional dental services to patients at the Downtown Clinic; and

Whereas, this contract shall terminate on June 30, 2006 and may be extended for three additional terms of one year each; and

Whereas, in exchange for the provision of professional dental services to patients at the Downtown Clinic by Meharry Medical College, School of Dentistry, the Metropolitan Government will provide payment of $68,115.00 for the first contract term of September 24, 2004 through June 30, 2006.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the contract by and between Meharry Medical College, School of Dentistry, and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to provide professional dental services to patients at the Downtown Clinic, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
