A resolution accepting and appropriating $32,474.95 in grant funds from multiple sources for use by the Metropolitan Planning Commission pursuant to Contract No. 040109.

WHEREAS, Contract no. 040109 between the Metropolitan Planning Commission and the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation, was approved by the Metropolitan Planning Commission and filed with the Metropolitan Clerk on June 3, 2004, and a copy of that Contract as amended is attached hereto as Exhibit A; and

WHEREAS, said contract is for the provision of an ozone action program to improve and mitigate the impact of ozone for the geographical region included in the Nashville Area Metropolitan Planning Organization; and

WHEREAS, the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, Williamson County, Rutherford County, Wilson County, Sumner County, Hendersonville, Gallatin, Lebanon, Mt. Juliet, Portland, and Goodlettsville have provided grant funds totaling $32,474.95 for use by the Metropolitan Planning Commission pursuant to Contract No. 040109, as provided in Exhibit B hereto.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1: That the grants described herein are hereby accepted and appropriated to the Planning Commission for its use pursuant to contract no. 040109, as attached hereto and incorporated herein.

Section 2: This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
