RESOLUTION NO. RS2006-1218

A resolution accepting and appropriating $15,000 for the Metropolitan Board of Health pursuant to a grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for a program to reduce asthma among children.

WHEREAS, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has awarded a grant to the Metropolitan Board of Health in an amount not to exceed $15,000.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1: That the funds received pursuant to a grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for a program to reduce asthma among children, as attached hereto and incorporated herein, in an amount not to exceed $15,000, are hereby accepted and appropriated to the Metropolitan Board of Health.

Section 2: This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
