A resolution approving an interlocal agreement with the City of Goodlettsville for law enforcement assistance.

Whereas, both the Metropolitan Police Department and the Goodlettsville Police Department wish to maximize the efficiency of the law enforcement services that are provided to the citizens of the Davidson County portion of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, and surrounding locations in Davidson County; and

Whereas, the Agreement between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the City of Goodlettsville, attached hereto, addresses the dispatching and handling of calls received from those areas; and

Whereas, approval of the Agreement will benefit the citizens of Davidson County; and

Whereas, Tennessee Code Annotated Section 12-9-104 provides that Interlocal Agreements between political subdivisions of the State may be approved by Resolution.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the Agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the City of Goodlettsville for law enforcement assistance, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That any amendments to the terms of the Agreement must be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving twenty-one affirmative votes.

Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
