A resolution appropriating $582,000 in Community Development Block Grant Funds for Streetscape Improvements in the Scovel Street Neighborhood Strategy Area.

WHEREAS, application for 2003-2004, 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 years of the Community Development Block Grant program were approved by the Metropolitan Council through Ordinance No. BL 2002-1230, BL-2003-64 and BL 2004-425; and

WHEREAS, the applications for the 2003-2004, 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 years included funds allocated to the Scovel Street Neighborhood Strategy Area; and

WHEREAS, a portion of these funds in the amount of $582,000, has been recommended by the Citizen Advisory Committee to be used for streetscape improvement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That $582,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds allocated to be used for streetscape improvements in the Scovel Street Neighborhood Strategy Area.

Section 2. This resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
