A resolution accepting $7,658.82 in compromise and settlement of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County's personal injury claim against Landon Johnson.

Whereas, on November 22, 2004, Landon Johnson struck a Metropolitan police unit while the Metro officer was working traffic control, causing damage to the vehicle as well as personal injury to the Police Department employee, Officer Joshua Mayo; and

Whereas, after investigation, the Metropolitan Department of Law believes that the settlement listed in Section 1 is fair and reasonable and recommends that the personal injury claim be compromised and settled in the amount of $7,658.82, and that these funds be deposited into the appropriate fund and account as determined by the Department of Finance.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to accept the amount of $7,658.82 in compromise and settlement of the Metropolitan Government's personal injury claim against Landon Johnson, and to deposit said funds in the account designated by the Director of Finance.

Section 2. This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
