A resolution approving a revised application for a Juvenile Accountability Block Grant from the Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

WHEREAS, the Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth is accepting applications for a Juvenile Accountability Block Grant, with an award of $141,755, and a required match of $15,751; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government is eligible to participate in this grant program; and,

WHEREAS, an application for this grant was previously approved by Resolution No. RS2005-906, but the grantor requested certain revisions to the application; and,

WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant application be approved and submitted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the application for a Juvenile Accountability Block Grant, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same, and said application is authorized to be submitted to the Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
