RESOLUTION NO. RS2005-989

A Resolution appropriating Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($75,000) from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Services District to fund a Best Practices Study for the Metropolitan Council.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council desires to employ additional staff to improve the efficiency and service of the Metropolitan Council.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the sum of Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($75,000) is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated fund balance of the General Fund of the General Services District to provide funds to employ necessary consultants to conduct a Best Practices Study. Such study shall include, but not be limited to, a study of the current Council Office, current staffing of the Council Office, the need for additional staffing, and shall make whatever recommendation deemed appropriate to improve the Council Office.

Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
