RESOLUTION NO. RS2005-915

A resolution approving a contract by and between United Neighborhood Health Services and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to provide medical services to homeless clients.

Whereas, United Neighborhood Health Services wishes to provide medical services to homeless clients, by, among other things, providing hospital admission, follow-up, and discharge services for downtown clinic patients, providing professional medical services by a licensed physican and certified nurse practitioners, and by providing medical coverage after normal business hours to downtown clinic patients; and

Whereas, this contract shall terminate on March 31, 2006 and may be extended for two additional years thereafter; and

Whereas, in exchange for the provision of medical services by United Neighborhood Health Services, the Metropolitan Government will provide payment of at least $163,280.00.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the contract by and between United Neighborhood Health Services and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to provide medical services to homeless clients, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
