RESOLUTION NO. RS2005-900

A Resolution appropriating Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000) from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Fund of the General Services District to fund an Economic Impact Study regarding Metropolitan Government employees living outside of Davidson County.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Code of Laws currently only requires Metropolitan Government employees to be residents of the State of Tennessee; and

WHEREAS, the Council desires that a study to be conducted to determine the economic impact that employees living outside of Davidson County are having on the Metropolitan Government and businesses located within Davidson County.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000) is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated fund balance of the General Fund of the General Services District to provide funding for an Economic Impact Study regarding Metropolitan Government employees living outside of Davidson County.

Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
