A resolution approving the Department of Water and Sewerage Services' surcharge rate for ammonia.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council recently enacted Ordinance No. BL2005-508, which requires the Council's approval of the Department of Water and Sewerage Services' surcharge rate for treatment of ammonia; and,

WHEREAS, the Department's rate consultant has recommended a rate of $37.36 per 100 pounds of ammonia, based on the actual cost of treatment.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY.

SECTION 1. That the Department of Water and Sewerage Services' surcharge rate of $37.36 per 100 pounds of ammonia is hereby approved.

SECTION 2. This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
