A resolution approving an amendment to a contract with the Nashville Downtown Partnership.

Whereas, a contract with the Nashville Downtown Partnership pertaining to downtown parking facilities was approved by Ordinance BL2002-1187, which provided that any amendments to the Contract must be approved by Resolution of Council; and

Whereas, the parties wish to extend and amend the Contract, as provided in Amendment No. 1, attached hereto and incorporated herein; and

Whereas, this Amendment has been approved by the Traffic and Parking Commission; and

Whereas, approval of the Amendment is in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government and the citizens of Davidson County.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That Amendment No. 1 to the Contract between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the Nashville Downtown Partnership, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
