RESOLUTION NO. RS2005-863

A resolution requesting the Mayor's Office to conduct an anonymous employee satisfaction survey for Metropolitan Action Commission employees.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Action Commission administers the federal Head Start program and various other programs designed to help indigent individuals and their families improve their lives; and

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Action Commission employs over 300 people to serve the citizens of Nashville and Davidson County through these various programs; and

WHEREAS, certain Members of Council have received complaints from several Metropolitan Action Commission employees about their dissatisfaction with the Metro Action Commission management; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that a survey of Metro Action Commission employees be conducted in an effort to help improve relations between the employees and management.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as requesting the Mayor's Office to conduct an anonymous employee satisfaction survey for Metropolitan Action Commission employees.

Section 2. The Mayor's Office is further requested to complete said employee survey within sixty (60) days from the date of the adoption of this Resolution.

Section 3. The Metropolitan Clerk is directed to send a copy of this Resolution to Mayor Bill Purcell.

Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
