A resolution appropriating certain 2005 Housing and Community Development funds.

WHEREAS, Ordinance No. BL 2004 - 425 specified programs to utilize the 2005 Housing and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG Funds); and

WHEREAS, certain activities are, or soon will be ready to begin expenditures of the allocated funds;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency is authorized to expend and/or transfer to be expended 2005 CDBG funds in the following amounts for the following purposes:

a.   General Administration                                      $ 522,264
b.   Planning and Urban Environmental Design                413,064
c.   Rehabilitation (Rehabilitation Loans,                     1,281,921
        Emergency Rehabilitation)
d.   Acquisition of Real Property                                  379,829
f.   Relocation 47,479
g.   Economic Development                                        308,611
h.   Affordable Housing Assistance                               156,679
i.   Youth Initiatives Program                                      356,089
j.   Civic Design Center Assistance                              100,000
k.   Section 108 Loan Repayment                                400,000
                                                           Total      $3,965,936

The remaining funds will be appropriated by resolution as plans are completed and filed.

Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
