A resolution appropriating $200,000 in Community Development Block Grant Funds for property acquisition and related costs in the Booker Street Neighborhood Strategy Area.

WHEREAS, the application for the 2004-2005 year of the Community Development Block Grant program was approved by the Metropolitan Council through Ordinance No. BL 2003-64; and

WHEREAS, the application for the 2004-2005 year included funds allocated to the Booker Street Neighborhood Strategy Area; and

WHEREAS, a portion of these funds in the amount of $200,000 has been recommended by the Citizen Advisory Committee to be used for property acquisition and related costs in the Booker Street Neighborhood Strategy Area.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That $200,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds be allocated for property acquisition and related costs in the Booker Street Neighborhood Strategy Area:

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
