A resolution classifying public roads in Davidson County, Tennessee.

WHEREAS, the public roads of Davidson County are shown on the Official Street and Alley Acceptance and Maintenance Map for The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County; and

WHEREAS, the Official Street and Alley Acceptance and Maintenance Map is on file in the Office of the Department of Public Works and the Office of the Metropolitan Clerk; and

WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Section 54-10-103 requires the legislative body of each county to classify the public roads in each county, and requires that a list must first be submitted of all county roads, including a summary of changes from the road listing submitted the previous year; and

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council most recently classified the public roads in Davidson County by Ordinance No. BL2004-185, which Ordinance provided that future road classifications must be approved by Resolution of the Metropolitan Council.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That The Official Street and Alley Acceptance and Maintenance Map, as approved by Ordinance No. BL 2005-520 and as supplemented by the County Road list attached hereto, is hereby adopted as the road classification for Davidson County pursuant to Tennessee Code Section 54-10-103.

SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
