A resolution recognizing Claire Campbell, 2005 Salutatorian of Antioch High School.

WHEREAS, it is fitting to pause to pay tribute to those students who through their natural talents and unflagging commitment to academic excellence have distinguished themselves in the classroom; and

WHEREAS, Claire Campbell is one such exceptional student, who was named Salutatorian of the 2005 graduating class of Antioch High School; and

WHEREAS, through diligent study, steady composure during examinations, and steadfast commitment of time and talent, Ms. Campbell has achieved outstanding academic success, and has joined the ranks of the best and brightest students in Tennessee and our country; and

WHEREAS, in her remarkable high school career, Ms. Campbell has earned an exemplary grade point average of 98.7%, and her display of intellectual aptitude and ambition surely bodes well for her future success; and

WHEREAS, Claire has been active during her high school career as a member of the Math Quiz Bowl, Marching Band and Woodwind Quintet; and

WHEREAS, no stranger to honors and accolades, Ms. Campbell's scholarly achievements include the Honor Roll, Who's Who Among American High School Students, Advance Placement Scholar, Top German II and III student and Top Advance Placement Calculus AB student; and

WHEREAS, as a young woman of unsurpassed character and commitment Claire's involvement with the Special Olympics, Habitat for Humanity, Room in the Inn and her participation in many community activities greatly contribute to the betterment of her community and reflect the true spirit of volunteerism; and

WHEREAS, Claire Campbell's noteworthy achievement is a tremendous source of pride for her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Campbell, her school and her community; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognizes 2005 Antioch High School Salutatorian, Claire Campbell, on her impressive academic achievement, and extend to her our best wishes for a happy, successful future.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing Claire Campbell, 2005 Salutatorian of Antioch High School.

Section 2. The Metropolitan Council Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to Ms. Claire Campbell.

Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
