RESOLUTION NO. 2005-766
A resolution authorizing the Department of Law to accept $5,373.49 in compromise and settlement of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County's property damage claim against Matthew Frazier.
Whereas, on July 6, 2004, Matthew Frazier crossed the center line of the road while driving a motor vehicle, striking several vehicles, which caused a health department vehicle to swerve and strike one of the damaged vehicles; and
Whereas, after investigation, the Metropolitan Department of Law believes that the settlement listed in Section 1 is fair and reasonable and recommends that the property damage claim against Matthew Frazier be compromised and settled in the amount of $5,373.49 and that these funds be deposited into the appropriate fund and account as determined by the Department of Finance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to accept the amount of $5,373.49 in compromise and settlement of the property damage claim against Matthew Frazier.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
