A resolution approving and authorizing the Mayor to execute an amendment to a contract with the State of Tennessee Department of Transportation for a signalization project at Dickerson Pike and Spring Street.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government entered into a contract with the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation ("TDOT") to provide for management, funding, and related matters for a signalization project at Dickerson Pike and Spring Street, which contract was approved by Ordinance BL2004-430; and

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend that contract to expand the signalization location, and a copy of that Amendment is attached hereto and incorporated herein; and

WHEREAS, Ordinance BL2004-430 provided that amendments to the Contract must be approved by Resolution.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the amendment to the contract between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the State of Tennessee Department of Transportation concerning the signalization project at Dickerson Pike and Spring Street, which amendment is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
