RESOLUTION NO. 2005-760
A resolution approving a second amendment to a grant from the State of Tennessee Board of Probation and Parole to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for the Davidson County Community Corrections Program.
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County previously entered into a Grant Agreement with State of Tennessee Board of Probation and Parole for the Davidson County Community Corrections Program, which Grant was approved by Resolution RS2004-456; and,
WHEREAS, that Grant Agreement was amended to increase the amount by $20,753, for a total of $2,480,027, which Amendment was approved by Resolution RS2004-627; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to again amend that Grant Agreement to increase the amount to a total of $2,550,608, a copy of which Second Amendment is attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the Second Amendment to the grant by and between the State of Tennessee Board of Probation and Parole to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, for the Davidson County Community Corrections Program, a copy of which Amendment is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That the amount of this grant be appropriated to the State Trial Courts, Davidson County Community Corrections Program, based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
