A resolution approving an amendment to a contract by and between the Metropolitan Board of Health and Meharry Medical College for the Health Department to conduct certain research as part of the grant for asthma disparities in cohorts at risk for morbidity, and receive payment therefore.

WHEREAS, Resolution RS2003-1386 approved a contract between the Board of Health and Meharry Medical College ("Meharry") pursuant to which the Health Department was to conduct certain research as part of the grant for asthma disparities in cohorts at risk for morbidity, and receive payment therefor; and,

WHEREAS, Amendment One to the Contract was approved by RS2004-239; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Health and Meharry again wish to amend their Contract, to extend its term and provide for additional payment from Meharry; and

WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this contract amendment be approved.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the Second Amendment to the Contract by and between the Metropolitan Board of Health and Meharry Medical College for the Health Department to conduct research as part of the asthma disparities in cohorts at risk for morbidity grant and receive payment of $18,992 therefor, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
