RESOLUTION NO. RS2005-716
A resolution recognizing Hospital Hospitality House of Nashville.
WHEREAS, families travel into our community each year seeking medical care for a loved one's serious illness or injury; and
WHEREAS, Hospital Hospitality House of Nashville provides a "home away from home" for those families that need the comfort of others who understand the stress and hardships of coping with the treatment of a seriously ill family member; and
WHEREAS, Hospital Hospitality House provides daily support and respite at no charge to families in Davidson County who must keep a vigil with an ill family member in many of the downtown medical facilities; and
WHEREAS, Hospital Hospitality House of Nashville provides a warm, caring family-centered environment for both patients and their families; and
WHEREAS, Hospital Hospitality House is celebrating its 30th year of service in the Nashville community in 2004-2005; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognizes and takes great pleasure in expressing sincere gratitude and appreciation for the dedication and selfless compassionate support provided by the directors, staff and volunteers of Hospital Hospitality House of Nashville.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing Hospital Hospitality House of Nashville.
Section 2. The Metropolitan Council Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to Vickie Ballance, Executive Director, on behalf of Hospital Hospitality House of Nashville.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
