A resolution appropriating $500,000 in Community Development Block Grant Funds for improvements to the Cleveland Park Community Center building and grounds in the Cleveland Neighborhood Strategy Area.

Whereas, applications for the twenty-eighth, twenty-ninth, and thirtieth years of the Community Development Block Grant program were approved by the Metropolitan Council through Ordinance Nos. BL 2001-868, BL 2002-1230 and BL-2003-64; and

Whereas, the applications for the twenty-eighth, twenty-ninth, and thirtieth years included funds allocated to the Cleveland Neighborhood Strategy Area; and

Whereas, a portion of these funds in the amount of $500,000 has been recommended by the Citizen Advisory Committee to be used for improvements to Cleveland Park Community Center building and grounds in the Cleveland Neighborhood Strategy Area; and

Whereas, plans for the above referenced project are available for review at the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency; and

Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That $500,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds be allocated to be used for improvements to the Cleveland Park Community Center building and grounds in the Cleveland Neighborhood Strategy Area:

Section 2. This resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
