A resolution authorizing the Department of Finance to accept certain donations for the use and benefit of the Caring for Children program.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council by Ordinance 2003-57 authorized the Department of Finance to accept donations for the use and benefit of the Caring for Children program, subject to the Metropolitan Council's approval by way of Resolution; and

WHEREAS, individuals desire to make donations to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to be used by the Caring for Children Program to provide direct client services, pursuant to the Donation Agreements attached hereto as Exhibit A ("Donation Agreements"); and

WHEREAS, these donations will be used according to the Guidelines for Use of Donations established by Ordinance 2003-57 ("Guidelines"); and

WHEREAS, an account has been established to receive these funds.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the Department of Finance is authorized to accept certain donations for the use and benefit of the Caring for Children program, as specified in the Donation Agreements.

Section 2. That such accepted funds shall be deposited in Fund 32010, BU 46715101, to be appropriated for use by the Caring for Children program to provide direct client services in accordance with the Guidelines.

Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
