A resolution approving Amendment One to the contract with Factory Mutual Insurance Co. (FM Global) for purchase of insurance services.

Whereas, Metropolitan Code Section 4.40.030 provides that purchases of fire and extended coverage insurance must be approved by Resolution of Council; and

Whereas, by Resolution No. RS2005-876, the Metropolitan Council approved a contract with Factory Mutual Insurance Co. (FM Global) for purchase of insurance services; and

Whereas, the parties now wish to amend that contract for insurance, as set forth in Amendment One, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein; and

Whereas, approval of the Amendment is in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That Amendment One to the contract between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Factory Mutual Insurance Co. (FM Global), attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
