RESOLUTION NO. RS2005-1027

A resolution approving an application for a Fast Track Infrastructure Development Program grant from the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, pertaining to the relocation of the Fraternal Order of Police headquarters.

WHEREAS, the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development is accepting applications for its Fast Track Infrastructure Development program; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government is eligible to participate in this grant program; and,

WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant application be approved and submitted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Metropolitan Government's application for a Fast Track Infrastructure Development Program grant, with an estimated award of $44,573, and an estimated required match of $29,716, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same, and the Department of Public Works is authorized to submit said application to the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
