A resolution amending Resolution No. RS2003-113, as amended, by extending the deadline for the Ethics Review Task Force to issue its report to the Metropolitan Council until March 31, 2005.

WHEREAS, Resolution No. RS2003-113, adopted on February 3, 2004, established an Ethics Review Task Force to review the Code of Ethical Conduct contained in the Metropolitan Code of Laws and to make recommendations to the Council regarding necessary changes to the Code of Ethical Conduct; and

WHEREAS, Resolution No. RS2004-298, adopted on May 18, 2004, appointed the members of the Ethics Review Task Force and set a deadline for September 30, 2004 for the task force to issue its report to the Metropolitan Council; and

WHEREAS, Resolution No. RS2004-526, adopted on October 5, 2004, further extended the reporting deadline for the Ethics Review Task Force to December 31, 2004; and

WHEREAS, the Council now desires to extend the reporting deadline for the Ethics Review Task Force to March 31, 2005, in order to allow further time for the task force to complete its work.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That Resolution No. RS2004-113, as amended, be and the same is hereby amended by amending Section 4 by extending the deadline for the Ethics Review Task Force to report its findings and recommendations to the Council until March 31, 2005.

Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
