A resolution approving an amendment to a grant from the Tennessee Department of Transportation to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for arterial CCTV surveillance and fiber optic communication deployment.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County previously entered into a Grant Agreement with the Tennessee Department of Transportation for arterial CCTV surveillance and fiber optic communication deployment; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend that Grant Agreement to amend the scope of the funded project, without amending the amount of funding; and,

WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this Amendment be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Amendment to the grant by and between the Tennessee Department of Transportation and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for arterial CCTV surveillance and fiber optic communication deployment, a copy of which Amendment is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That the amount of this grant be appropriated to the Public Works Department based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
