A resolution authorizing the Metropolitan Department of Law to compromise and settle the claims of Cynthia J. Fry against the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for the amount of $23,000, and directing that this amount be paid from the Self-Insured Liability Account.

Whereas, a lawsuit based on claims of negligence was filed by the plaintiff in the Second Circuit Court for Davidson County, Tennessee; and

Whereas, after investigation, the Department of Law believes the settlement amount as set forth in Section 1 is fair and reasonable and recommends that this case be compromised and settled for a total amount of $23,000, to be paid from the Self-Insured Liability Account.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. The Department of Law is authorized to compromise and settle the lawsuit styled, Cynthia J. Fry v. Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee, d/b/a Metropolitan Action Commission, No. 03C-2298 in the Second Circuit Court for Davidson County, Tennessee for the total sum of $23,000, and directing that this amount be paid from the Self-Insured Liability Account.

Section 2. This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
