RESOLUTION NO. RS2004-503
A resolution accepting $7,365.78 in compromise and settlement of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County’s claim against James Beasley.
Whereas, on December 23, 2002, James Beasley, while attempting to cross over two lanes of traffic pulled into the path of a Metropolitan Police vehicle; and
Whereas, after investigation, the Metropolitan Department of Law believes that the settlement listed in Section 1 is fair and reasonable and recommends that the claim be compromised and settled in the amount of $7,365.78 and that these funds be deposited into the appropriate fund and account as determined by the Department of Finance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN
GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1: The Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to accept the amount of $7,365.78 in compromise and settlement of the claim for medical costs and wages against James Beasley and to deposit said funds into the appropriate fund and account as determined by the Department of Finance.
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
