A resolution accepting a grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Environment and Conservation, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for the operation and maintenance of a household hazardous waste facility, and ratifying the prior submission of the same.

WHEREAS, the State of Tennessee, Department of Environment and Conservation, has awarded a grant in an amount not to exceed $85,000 to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, for the operation and maintenance of a household hazardous waste facility; and,

WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Environment and Conservation, in an amount not to exceed $85,000 to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, for the operation and maintenance of a household hazardous waste facility, a copy of which grant is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized the execute the same.

Section 2. That the prior submission of this grant is approved and ratified.

Section 3. That the amount of this grant be appropriated to the Public Works Department for fiscal year 2003/2004, based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
