A resolution approving an amendment to a grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Labor and Workforce Development, to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to support administrative costs of employment programs and services.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County previously entered into a Grant Agreement with the State of Tennessee, Department of Labor and Workforce Development, to support administrative costs of employment programs and services; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend that Grant Agreement to increase the amount of the grant by $63,100.05, from $120,695.23 to $183,795.28, a copy of which Amendment 1 is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this Amendment be approved, and the grant extended.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That Amendment 1 to the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Labor and Workforce Development, and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, to support administrative costs of employment programs and services, a copy of which Amendment 1 is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That the amount of this grant be appropriated to the Nashville Career Advancement Center based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
