RESOLUTION NO. RS2004-465

A resolution recognizing Nathaniel “Nathan” Allen Fulner.

WHEREAS, Nathaniel “Nathan” Allen Fulner, a sophomore at Goodpasture Christian High School is an exceptional student and a member of the soccer team; and

WHEREAS, Nathaniel “Nathan” Allen Fulner has recently been presented with the 2003-2004 United States Achievement Academy National Mathematics Award, an honor most befitting him; and

WHEREAS, this award is given to a student who has a minimum grade point averages of 3.0, demonstrates math skills and aptitude, and is given to fewer than 10% of all American high school students; and

WHEREAS, through diligent study, steady composure during examinations, and steadfast commitment of time and talent, Mr. Fulner has achieved outstanding academic success, and is among the ranks of the best and brightest students in Tennessee; and

WHEREAS, an extremely talented and well-rounded young man, Mr. Fulner is a valuable member of the National Junior Honor Society at Goodpasture Christian High School; and

WHEREAS, no stranger to accolades, Mr. Fulner is also a United States Achievement Academy All-American Scholar At-Large Award winner and listed in Who’s Who Among American High School Students; and

WHEREAS, Nathaniel “Nathan” Allen Fulner’s dedication to excellence is clearly deserving of the respect, admiration, and commendation of this body; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognizes Nathaniel “Nathan” Allen Fulner on his impressive academic achievements and extend to him our best wishes for a happy, successful future.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing Nathaniel “Nathan” Allen Fulner.

Section 2. The Metropolitan Council Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to Nathaniel “Nathan” Allen Fulner.

Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
