RESOLUTION NO. RS2004-461
A resolution accepting the report of the Thermal Site Task Force and submitting said report to the Mayor.
WHEREAS, on March 22, 2004, the Metropolitan Council adopted Resolution No. RS2004-140, which created a task force to determine the highest and best use for the downtown Thermal Plant property; and
WHEREAS, the Thermal Site Task Force met on seven occasions between March 26 and July 26, 2004, to review the five proposals for development of the thermal site submitted to the task force for consideration; and
WHEREAS, the Thermal Site Task Force made its final report and recommendations to the Council on August 16, 2004; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council desires to go on record as formally accepting the report of the Thermal Site Task Force and to submit said report to the Mayor for further consideration.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as accepting the report of the Thermal Site Task Force and submits said report to the Mayor for further consideration.
Section 2. The Metropolitan Clerk is directed to send a certified copy of this Resolution to Mayor Bill Purcell.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
