A resolution approving a third amendment to a grant from the State of Tennessee, Secretary of State, Tennessee State Library and Archives to the Nashville Public Library, to support participation in the statewide on-line interlibrary loan system.

WHEREAS, the Nashville Public Library and the State of Tennessee, Secretary of State, Tennessee State Library and Archives, previously entered into a Grant Agreement to support participation in the statewide on-line interlibrary loan system, which agreement was amended for the second time as approved by Resolution No. 2003-1522; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to again amend that Grant Agreement to extend the term of the grant until September 30, 2005, and to increase the amount of the grant by an additional $1,653, a copy of which Amendment 003 is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this Amendment be approved, and the grant extended and increased.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That Amendment 003 to the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Secretary of State, Tennessee State Library and Archives and the Nashville Public Library, to support participation in the statewide on-line interlibrary loan system, a copy of which Amendment 003 is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That the amount of this grant be appropriated to the Nashville Public Library based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
