RESOLUTION NO. RS2004-443
A resolution appropriating $300,000 in Community Development Block Grant Funds for streetscape improvements and for outdoor community facilities at Ross Elementary School in the Maxwell Neighborhood Strategy Area.
WHEREAS, applications for the 2001-2002, 2002-2003 and 2003-2004 years of the Community Development Block Grant program were approved by the Metropolitan Council through Ordinance Nos. BL 2000-495, BL 2001-868 and BL 2002-1230; and
WHEREAS, the applications for the 2001-2002, 2002-2003 and 2003-2004 years included funds allocated to the Maxwell Neighborhood Strategy Area; and
WHEREAS, a portion of these funds in the amount of $175,000 has been recommended by the Citizen Advisory Committee to be used for the installation of stamped crosswalks and related sidewalk ramps; and
WHEREAS, a portion of these funds in the amount of $125,000 has been recommended by the Citizen Advisory Committee to be used for the installation of outdoor community facilities at Ross Elementary School.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That $175,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds are allocated to be used for installation of stamped crosswalks and related sidewalk ramps in the Maxwell Neighborhood Strategy Area; and
Section 2. That $125,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds are allocated to be used for installation of outdoor community facilities at Ross Elementary School in the Maxwell Neighborhood Strategy Area; and
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
