RESOLUTION NO. RS2004-441

A resolution appropriating $500,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds for the construction of streetscape work and infrastructure improvements in the Dickerson Road Commercial District.

Whereas, applications for the twenty-seventh and twenty-eighth years of the Community Development Block Grant program were approved by the Metropolitan Council through Ordinance Nos. BL2001-868 and BL2002-1230; and

Whereas, the applications for the twenty-seventh and twenty-eighth years included funds for streetscape work and infrastructure improvements in the Dickerson Road Commercial District; and

Whereas, plans for the above referenced project are available for review at the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency; and

Now, Therefore, be it resolved by The Council of Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That $500,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds allocated to the Dickerson Road Commercial District be appropriated for construction of streetscape work and infrastructure improvements.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
