RESOLUTION NO. RS2004-434
A resolution requesting the Vice Mayor to appoint a task force to determine the appropriate tree bank fee schedule.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. RS2004-406, currently pending with the Metropolitan Council, would approve the tree bank fee schedule promulgated by the Urban Forester; and
WHEREAS, certain questions and concerns have been raised as to the whether the amounts set forth in the proposed fee schedule are appropriate; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that a task force be appointed to determine the appropriate tree bank fee schedule.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as requesting the Vice Mayor to appoint a task force to determine the appropriate tree bank fee schedule. Such task force should consist of five members, three of which should be representative of the business community and two of which should be members of the tree advisory board. The task force should convene on September 1, 2004, and report back to the full Council not later than December 1, 2004.
Section 2. The Metropolitan Clerk is directed to send a certified copy of this Resolution to Vice Mayor Howard Gentry.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

Amendment No. 1
To
Resolution No. RS2004-434
Mr. President:
I move to amend Resolution No. RS2004-434 as follows by deleting the provisions of Section 1 in its entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the following new Section 1:
“ Section 1. That the Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as requesting the Vice Mayor to appoint a task force to determine the appropriate tree bank fee schedule. Such task force should consist of six members, three of which should be representative of the business community and three of which should be members of the tree advisory board. Such task force should convene upon appointment by the Vice Mayor and report back to the full Council within one hundred twenty (120) days of convening.”
