A resolution approving cooperative agreement No. 04E4TN252500020 with the United States Department of the Interior - United States Geological Survey for continuation of a program to operate and maintain a ADVM gauge on the Cumberland River and water quality monitors and streamflow gauges in several streams in Davidson County.

WHEREAS, The United States Department of Interior – United States Geological Survey has an existing agreement with Metropolitan Government to operate and maintain a ADVM gauge on the Cumberland River and streamflow gauges network and water quality monitors in several streams in Davidson County; and

WHEREAS, The United States Department of Interior – United States Geological Survey and the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services wish to continue the existing agreement for another year at a fixed cost to the Metropolitan Government of $82,500.00 as set forth in Exhibit A hereto; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. BL2001-870 agreements for this program may be approved by Resolution.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1: That Agreement No. 04E4TN252500020 is approved and incorporated herein, and the Metropolitan Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the same, copy attached as Exhibit A.

SECTION 2: That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
