RESOLUTION NO. RS2004-416

A Resolution requesting the task force exploring the development of the former downtown Nashville Thermal Transfer plant site to reopen its hearings to ask if potential developers are providing incentives for Black and/or other minority participation and partnerships.

WHEREAS, the task force exploring the potential development of the former downtown Nashville Thermal Transfer plant should give due consideration to determine if potential developers are providing incentives for Black and/or other minority participation and partnerships.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby requests that the task force exploring the development of the former downtown Nashville Thermal Transfer plant site to reopen its hearings to ask if potential developers are providing incentives for Black and/or other minority participation and partnerships.

Section 2. The Metropolitan Clerk is directed to send a certified copy of this Resolution to the members of the task force.

Section 3. The task force is further requested to inform the Metropolitan Council of the feasibility and/or the actions taken in compliance with the request contained in Section 1 hereof, not later than sixty (60) days after the adoption of this Resolution.

Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
