A resolution recognizing and congratulating West End Middle School principal, Dr. Lora Hall on being named the 2004-2005 “Middle School Principal of the Year” for the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools.

WHEREAS, Dr. Lora Hall, has served two years as principal at West End Middle School and has devoted her career to providing the highest quality education for Tennessee’s students and is well deserving of this recognition; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Lora Hall is a product of the Public School System; and

WHEREAS, she received her Masters of Education degree in 2000 from Peabody/Vanderbilt began her educational career teaching at Cole Elementary before climbing the ladder to assistant principal at Cole Annex; then serving as principal at Glengarry then Haywood, before coming to West End Middle School; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Lora Hall brings enthusiasm, energy and a strong leadership role to West End Middle School; and

WHEREAS, in addition to receiving several awards and recognition for his work as a teacher and role as a principal she serves and is a member of several organizations; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognizes Dr. Lora Hall on receiving the “Middle School Principal of the Year” award and commend her on her exceptional service to her staff, faculty and students and wish her all the best.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing and congratulating West End Middle School principal, Dr. Lora Hall on being named the 2004-2005 “Middle School Principal of the Year” for the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools.

Section 2. The Metropolitan Council Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to Principal Dr. Lora Hall of West End Middle School.

Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
