A resolution approving an agreement by and between Tennessee State University, School of Nursing, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Metropolitan Department of Health, to provide public health training for student nurses.

WHEREAS, Tennessee State University, School of Nursing, wishes to enter into an agreement with the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Metropolitan Department of Health, for the training of its nursing students, a copy of which agreement is attached hereto as Exhibit 1 (the “Agreement”); and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County that health professionals be trained in caring for the diverse public health and be available for the care of the citizens.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Agreement by and between Tennessee State University, School of Nursing, and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Metropolitan Department of Health, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
