A resolution appropriating certain 2004 Housing and Community Development funds.

WHEREAS, Ordinance No. BL 2003 - 64 specified programs to utilize the 2004 Housing and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG Funds); and

WHEREAS, certain activities are, or soon will be ready to begin expenditures of the allocated funds;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency is authorized to expend and/or transfer to be expended 2004 CDBG funds in the following amounts for the following purposes:

a.   General Administration                                       $ 531,252
b.   Planning and Urban Environmental Design                 420,172
c.   Rehabilitation (Rehabilitation Loans,                     1,545,461
       Emergency Rehabilitation)
d.  Acquisition of Real Property                                   386,365
f.   Relocation                                                            48,296
g.  Economic Development                                          313,922
h.  Affordable Housing Assistance                                159,376
i.   Youth Initiatives Program                                       362,217
j.   Civic Design Center Assistance                               100,000
k.  Section 108 Loan Repayment                                  400,000
                                                         Total         $4,267,061

The remaining funds will be appropriated by resolution as plans are completed and filed.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
