RESOLUTION NO. RS2004-274
A resolution recognizing Mildred Walters.
WHEREAS, Mildred Walters remarkable career is an inspiration to all not only is she the executive director of the Nashville Business Incubation Center but also a teacher at Tennessee State University as well as a successful author; and
WHEREAS, Mildred Walters of Bordeaux is an inspirational writer; and
WHEREAS, under the pen name of Christine Townsend, Mildred Walters, completed her debut novel, Sweet Desire a romance novel; and
WHEREAS, she believes in the power of the written word, and despite her busy schedule she has written her second novel, also a romance, which will be published in August; and
WHEREAS, when she is not writing she enjoys reading and the theatre; and
WHEREAS, Mildred Walters is to be commended for her many notable achievements; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognizes Nashville resident Mildred Walters for her dedication to excellence in every endeavor and extend to her best wishes for her every future success.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing Mildred Walters.
Section 2. The Metropolitan Council Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to Mildred Walters.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
