A Resolution requesting the Director of Finance to advise the Council of a source of funding sufficient to provide adequate funding for a Best Practices Study for the Metropolitan Council.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council desires to employ additional staff to improve the efficiency and service of the Metropolitan Council; and

WHEREAS, to determine if such staff is necessary to improve the efficiency and service to the Metropolitan Council a Best Practices Study should be conducted; and

WHEREAS, adequate funding should be available prior to beginning the process for such study.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan County Council hereby requests the Director of Finance to advise the Council of a source of funding sufficient to provide adequate funding for a Best Practices Study for the Metropolitan Council.

Section 2. The Metropolitan Clerk is directed to send a certified copy of this Resolution to Mr. David Manning, Director of Finance.

Section 3. The Director of Finance is further requested to inform the Metropolitan Council of the feasibility and/or the actions taken in compliance with the request contained in Section 1 hereof, not later than sixty (60) days after the adoption of this Resolution.

Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
