A resolution accepting $5,034.43 in compromise and settlement of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County’s property damage claim against Brent Hoorst.
Whereas, on January 8, 2004, Mr. Brent Hoorst was responsible for a vehicular accident causing damage to a police car belonging to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County; and
Whereas, after investigation, the Metropolitan Department of Law believes that the settlement listed in Section 1 is fair and reasonable and recommends that the property damage claim be compromised and settled in the amount of $5,034.43 and that these funds be deposited into the appropriate fund and account as determined by the Department of Finance.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:
Section 1: The Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to accept the amount of $5,034.43 in compromise and settlement of the property damage claim against Brent Hoorst and to deposit said funds into the appropriate fund and account as determined by the Department of Finance.
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
