A resolution authorizing the Metropolitan Mayor to enter into Agreement No. 500,480, with Nashville and Eastern Railroad Corporation, allowing the Department of Water and Sewerage Services to construct a 48” water main under the railroad at M.P. 2.15, Nashville, Tennessee and pay the required fee.
WHEREAS, Nashville and Eastern Railroad Corporation owns and maintains railroad tracks in Davidson County and some surrounding counties; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services needs to construct a 48” water main in the existing railroad right-of-way located at M.P.2.15, Nashville, Tennessee; and,
WHEREAS, that Metropolitan Ordinance No. 98-1364 authorizes all future agreements to be processed by resolution. This work is identified in Metro’s Capital Improvements Budget No. 96SG0005.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
SECTION 1: That the Metropolitan Mayor is hereby authorized to execute Agreement No. 500,480, copy attached as Exhibit A for a one time fee of $300.00.
SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
