RESOLUTION NO. RS2004-126
A resolution recognizing Daniel McCloud upon receiving the prestigious Eagle
Scout Award.
WHEREAS, on Monday, November 24, 2003, Daniel McCloud, was presented with the
Eagle Scout Award at the Eagle Court of Honor at St. Henry Church; and
WHEREAS, the Eagle is the highest rank of recognition offered in Scouting; and
WHEREAS, a candidate for the rank of Eagle Scout one must complete a rigorous program of training and demonstrate his proficiency in selected scouting techniques; and
WHEREAS, Daniel McCloud, a valued member of Boy Scout Troop 6, is a dedicated young man who has earned the respect and admiration of his fellow scouts through his active participation in the many programs sponsored by the Boy Scouts of America; and
WHEREAS, Daniel’s service project was creating flag placers for the Veterans Cemetery on McCrory Creek Road; and
WHEREAS, Daniel McCloud is a senior at Nashville Christian High School where he is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and enjoys football and baseball; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognizes Daniel McCloud for his diligence, determination, and dedication in pursuing the highest honor awarded by the Boy Scouts of America and congratulate him on attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing Daniel McCloud upon receiving the prestigious Eagle Scout Award.
Section 2. The Metropolitan Council Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to Daniel McCloud.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
