RESOLUTION NO. RS2003-79

A resolution approving a lease between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Imagistic/Pitney Bowes of fifty-two copiers for the use of the Metropolitan Police Department.

Whereas, the Police Department, has been leasing fifty-two copiers from Imagistic/Pitney Bowes since 1998; and

Whereas, the Police Department desires to enter into a six-month lease which can be extended for another six-months if necessary, which will cover the time up until the results from a Metro wide copy machine review and audit are available; and

Whereas, the Metropolitan Code 5.04.020 provides that all leases for equipment shall be approved by resolution if the annual expenditure exceeds $5,000.00 per year; and

Whereas, it is deemed to be in the best interest of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that the attached lease agreement be approved.

Now, therefore be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the lease agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Imagistic/Pitney Bowes of fifty-two copiers along with a maintenance and service agreement for the use of the Metropolitan Police Department at a rental rate of approximately $7,004 per month, which lease agreement is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
